Collaboration with foreign universities

Since 2002 Shizuoka University and 11 major universities in the Middle East and Europe has co-sponsored international conference every year. These conferences were facilitated under the inter academia community. Under this community as one of the programmes, DDP facilitated exchange of research and PhD students. Public national institutes and industrial engineers and professionals also took part in these international conferences.

In 2013 international conference was held at Sofia University, Bulgaria where 39 young researchers took part.

Support of this program

This programme supports promotion of research in the field of nano vision of science, optronics sciences, and informatics sciences from each university. It also supports carrying out international internships and DDP.

TUBS

Outline

Braunschweig University of Technology (TUBs) and Shizuoka university did some collaborative research between food institute at TUBs and faculty of agriculture at SU. Based upon the ongoing and existing collaborations in 2010 a MoU was signed between TUBs and SU with support from DAAD, DDP, SS and SV programmes. Further strengthening of collaborations was done by co-hosting international seminars and symposiums in different fields like Applied biological chemistry and applied chemistry and biochemical engg.. We also have promoted brain vitalization programme from 2010-2012 which supported 2 PhD students under DDP programmes. Based upon this programme we support small seminar and promote DAAD programme.

KNU

Outline

SU and Kyungpook national university (KNU) had inter university agreement in 2009 and in 2010 agreement under DDP was signed for PhD students exchange. We have 1 student under such programme and he has contributed to brain vitalization programme also. Research in the field of biotechnology is promoted under this programme and supported by SS and SV programmes. This included sending students to and fro between SU and KNU. We have also established live TV contact between SU and KNU to facilitate research meetings and classes. This programme shall support student workshop, small meeting and seminar and encourage them to join DDP for Ph.D programmes.

Held a Symposium in both Japan and Korea, Shizuoka University and Kyungpook National University, has deepened exchanges teachers, between students. TV conference system common is deployed between the Shizuoka University, basis of Cooperative Research and Development of the future has been laid. Signed a Memorandum of Understanding on DDP in 2010, it is accepted in to Shizuoka University student as DDP students of one person from Kyungpook National University. I was dispatched to the international symposium held at the Kyungpook National University five six student teachers from Shizuoka University in 2009. 5 faculty members three students to the international symposium by providing support for SS/SV program, dispatched 19 faculty and staff members nine students in 2011, held a Symposium in Korea, was held in Shizuoka then was invited.

PNU

Outline

The Research Institute of Electronics of Shizuoka University is co-organizing workshop annually with Busan University, a prestigious university in South Korea. From 2010 a MOU on DDP has been signed to promote and expand the field of existing collaboration. This programme shall support student workshop, small meeting and seminar and encourage them to join DDP for Ph.D programmes.

Outline

SU and ZU had a MOU for more than 20 years and many student and researchers have taken place over the years producing many publications.

With the support of DDP program, international symposium was held by exchanging researchers and students. This programme shall support student workshop, small meeting and seminar and encourage them to join DDP for Ph.D programmes.

Bay of Bengal

Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippine are socio-politically important countries for the future of Japan. To promote education and research in Environmental science, Life sciences, Informatics and Energy by collaborating with researchers from the leading research institutes and universities from the host countries. This programme shall support student workshop, small meeting and seminar and encourage them to join DDP for Ph.D programmes.
